Patrick Cheechoo

The Man: Mr. Cheechoo is married with 5 children and 3 grandchildren and is a Cree (Mushkeego) from Constance Lake First Nation, Ontario, Canada. He has had the proud pleasure of watching two daughters, Caitlin and Nadia Cheechoo, perform on stage and share their own unique brand of humour.

Patrick wishes to credit his Love, his wife, Dr. Keri Cheechoo, as co-writer for his material. “Thank you, my Love, for your patience, humour and keen insight, and I will always treasure my time working with you as we try to make people laugh.” says Patrick.

The Comedian: Patrick’s first five-minute comedic set was in June 2012 at Thunder Bay’s Aboriginal Day Gala, and he was declared the 2014 Thunder Bay Comic Idol. He has since performed throughout Canada and the United States. He has established himself as a wonderful talent with a keen ability to connect with his audience; his confidence and adaptability ensures that audiences of varying demographics will have a wonderful time at each of his shows. Most recently, Patrick has enjoyed supporting and headlining Got Land? (an Indigenous Comedy Showcase), which is produced by Comedian Janelle Niles.

The EMCEE: Mr. Cheechoo has provided professional emcee for over 20 years. Patrick is able to balance humour, entertainment and a high level of professionalism while acting as your event’s master of ceremonies.
